Hey all
i just got through watch the Discovery ID show Nuclear Jihad. The show made me think about what if Al Qaida or any one of our now numerous enemies got the bomb. Would we see a Mushroom cloud over Israeli City, Wachington, what would the response be. What if Iran has the bomb, would the same scenario take place. Just something to think about. Makes me wonder if maybe i should start making my BOB now, lol.

I simply voted Europe for the same reason a lot of targeting is going on there today. Europe in the past has proven to be easy targets as the area is vast with so many varied border policies it's really easy to travel country to country without notice. Europe is full of so many ethnicities with so many passports, and they are very social minded when it comes to security. Britain alone had several dozens of 'cells' living amongst it populace but has had various luck in tracking down Jihadists, since the July 7, 2005 attacks of their transit system. The bad guys know now, the real way to defeat capitalism and Western freedoms is by turning the people against their respective governments. Using the peace loving media by allowing them access to sensitive information, propagandising false information, and showing a large body count and then blame the U.S. or Britain. A large scale nuclear bomb in central Europe, then place the blame on the United States' or Britain's foriegn policy (as they have been doing for years now) shakes centralism and left leaning "peace" lovers to the core. Response is: governments that are weakened by it's fearful, with more emphasis placed on negotiation than a strong front, weakened infrastructure, less accurate intelligence, and so on.
To bring the world down to their level they will weaken us at our core, our government, by turning the people away from protection, head them towards negotiation, and strike when we are our weakest. Just like the Japanese did in WWII in Hawai'i, just like the Roman Empire was declinated and destroyed and so probably the West will succumb.

IMHO of course :smiling:

Isreal, and America because of its support for Isreal would be the most likely. There are however two reasons they would think twice about Isreal -

1 - many sites in Isreal that are also holy to Islam

2 - the Isrealis will seriously nuke parts of the Middle East back in retaliation, probably far worse than the USA would.

I voted for Israel, because I think they are closer and easier for any of those middle eastern countries to target. They might like to send one our way, but Israel is closer. And yes, I believe they will be retaliated quickly enough, and Israel will bomb them back to the dark ages, and there will go our oil. This scenario is far too likely in my opinion. The trouble is they (the middle eastern terrorists are in general, radical Muslims) don't care about retaliation because they have their 72 Virgins awaiting them in Paradise. That is why the principles of 'mutual destruction' don't work for us anymore. And if the Israelis are 'defiling' their holy sites, they would prefer that the sites be destroyed. If they had the means to deliver nuclear bombs to the United States, that's what they would do. But they don't, at least yet. Now, suitcase bombs is another question. That they can do now, and frankly, I'm surprised they haven't already.

America was my vote - we haven't made many friends in the past few years.

I should have said that I did too, I voted for Isreal, even though my points seemed against it. Why? Because I think Iran is the most likely source, and their current leader's promises are to hit Isreal.

I think America would be the target. It would be such a coup for the terrorists. Bigger than 9/11. We are the ugly Americans right now. Too many counties just don't like us. At the moment, I don't see anybody but the former USSR as actually having the capability. But others are working on it.

Well, the thing to watch for is whether Isreal bombs Iran in the next 3 months.

Whether the retaliation is against the US or Isreal might be 50-50, and if it's not against Isreal, it's because of the fear Isreal would have a far far larger, and nuclear response.
